KUALA LUMPUR (May 14): Eden Inc Bhd, whose shares surged as much as 159% in early trade today, said short selling under its proprietary day traders (PDT) has been suspended for the rest of the day.

This is because the daily short selling trade limit has reached 3% of the issued number of shares of the said securities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Eden said the short selling under PDT will be enabled tomorrow.

At 3.52pm, Eden shares were traded up 25 sen or 147.06% at 42 sen, with 214.74 million shares done, bringing a market capitalisation of RM105.86 million.
