Malaysian singing sensation Shila Amzah’s second world tour Loving You will kick off at the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting (RWG) on Sept 29, 2018.

Announced at a press conference (PC) last Tuesday in RWG, the Loving You world tour comes after Shila’s My Journey global trek in 2017, which also debuted at RWG.

Just as “My Journey” supported her sixth album and Chinese-language debut album of the same name, Loving You will support her upcoming seventh album, also sharing the same title.

During the press conference, Shila, connecting with her fans by speaking in English and Mandarin, said: “I want to show you all a different side of Shila after finally finding my loved one. I’m very touched because I feel my fans have been supporting me for many years and that is what drives me to work hard every day.

“I want to try to give back my best to them every time. It also feels very different whenever I perform here at Resorts World Genting because I am proud to be back here and singing in front of a home crowd.”

On whether Shila would retire from her career after her marriage last month, the announcement for her upcoming world tour reassured fans that the singer will be continuing her music career, with support from her husband.

The new world tour also continues a trajectory of superstardom for the Malaysian singing sensation, whose debut album Terima Kasih Guru in 2000 — financed by her father — was released at a tender age of 10.

Shila is also named as one of Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2018, acknowledging young leaders, entrepreneurs and game-changers under age 30 across Asia.
