KUALA LUMPUR (July 29): Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has clinched sponsorship deals with seven additional companies for the 22nd edition of the Conference of Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI 2018), bringing a total of 24 companies which have confirmed their support for the upcoming electricity industry event.

The companies are Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd, South Korea’s conglomerate Daelim, Philippines' Meralco, LLC Bhd, Trilliant, Samsung C&T of South Korea and Indonesia’s Perusahaan Listrik Negara.

TNB is hosting CEPSI 2018 from Sept 17 to 22. Over 1,500 delegates, comprising industry leaders, senior executives, government officials and professional experts from all over the world, are expected to join the event.

TNB chief corporate officer and Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific (2017/2018) secretary-general Datuk Wira Roslan Ab Rahman said TNB is proud to have these companies on board as their support reaffirmed CEPSI 2018 as a must attend event for the electricity industry players.

“I am also pleased to announce that BMW is joining us as the exclusive electric vehicle transport partner or E-Mobility partner, providing shuttle and hospitality service for the VIPs. This type of partnership is the first of its kind for an event of similar scale in this country,” said Roslan in a statement today.

Themed “Reimagining Utility of the Future”, this year's conference will discuss on the industry’s response to technology disruptions, economic shifts, evolving sustainability, megatrends, the energy trilemma, digitalisation and a smarter future for the electricity industry.
