KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): Property developer and shopping mall operator Seal Incorporated Bhd's chief executive officer Chuah Chong Ewe has resigned from his post, citing personal reason to "pursue his other interests".

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Seal Inc said Chong Ewe, 47, has resigned with immediate effect.

He is the brother of Chuah Chong Boon, who is executive director of Seal Inc.

Chong Ewe still owns 1.105 million shares or a 0.51% direct stake, as well as 40 million shares or 18.55% indirect stake in Seal Inc.

Chong Ewe was admitted to the Malaysian Bar Council on Feb 26, 1993 and with his more than 21 years experience in legal practice, he is well versed in corporate, conveyancing and litigation matters. He comes with a vast experience in terms of practical knowledge and well-rounded exposure in all aspects of corporate, business and property development.
