KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Industrial Bhd plans to collaborate with Wada Aircraft Technology Co Ltd and Aero Inc in aerospace component manufacturing in Malaysia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Sapura Industrial said it had entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the two Japanese companies for the purpose of establishing a joint venture (JV). “The MoU allows the parties to lay the foundation of evaluating and negotiating the proposed JV,” it added.

Wada manufactures aerospace components, jigs, fixtures and tooling, while Aero assembles and manufactures aerospace parts.

Sapura Industrial shares closed unchanged at 82 sen yesterday, with a market capitalisation of RM59.67 million.
