KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 4): S P Setia Bhd today handed over the keys to the first 15 owners of homes under the Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) scheme at Setia Business Park 2, Johor Bahru.

"S P Setia remains diligent to our commitment of creating well-balanced and sustainable communities where families can embrace a wholesome lifestyle true to our development philosophy of LiveLearnWorkPlay," said S P Setia chairman Tan Sri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid at the event.

S P Setia developed 490 units of 18' x 60' two-storey cluster terrace homes under the RMMJ initiative — 236 units under the Sri Senja project and 254 units under Sri Embun.

The units were priced between RM150,000 and RM206,000 each when they were launched in May.

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin, who was also present at the event, praised the collaboration between S P Setia and the state government.

"This joint initiative by S P Setia together with the state government is an excellent example to other developers to step up and do the same," he said,

S P Setia said it will continue to develop affordable housing projects in its commitment to emphasise good quality of life as an important element in community developments.

"S P Setia is confident and committed to deliver quality and comfortable yet affordable homes in our self-contained townships," said Zahid.
