KUALA LUMPUR (May 16): Shares of Rohas Tecnic Bhd rose 4.04% this morning after the company, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Rohas-Euco Industries Bhd (REI), has bagged a US$70 million (RM300 million) contract from Electricite du Lao to supply and construct transmission lines, substations and distribution lines in Laos.

At 9.44am, Rohas Tecnic rose 4 sen to RM1.03 with 2.19 million shares traded.

Rohas Tecnic said this will be REI's second engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning project in Laos after having completed the first one in 2014.

Works will commence in the second half of this year for a 24-month period to completion.
