PUTRAJAYA (July 5): Riza Aziz, the stepson of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, has arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters for his third day of questioning this week.

Riza arrived in a three-car convoy at about 11.11am, a little over half an hour after the expected time of arrival tipped off by MACC officers to reporters.

More than 15 reporters were camped from as early as 10am outside the anti-graft agency main office here, having been denied entry into the compound. It is understood that the agency is hosting a Hari Raya celebration event this morning.

Riza's third visit was a follow-up on a questioning session of which started on Tuesday, the same day Najib was arrested at his residence in Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur.

Riza had spent a combined 15 hours in the anti-graft agency headquarters on Tuesday and Wednesday. An MACC officer declined to share on the specifics of the case that Riza is being questioned for.

Riza has made headlines over the last few years after a production company that he co-founded, Red Granite Pictures Inc, was alleged to have produced films using monies from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

In March this year, Red Granite agreed to pay US$60 million to the US Justice Department to settle claims, after it allegedly financed the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" using funds from the troubled state investment firm.
