KUALA LUMPUR (July 19): On the second day of trading, Revenue Group Bhd remains the most active counter on Bursa Malaysia, with 61.56 million shares exchanging hands as at 10.13am.

The counter rose as much as 18.4% to 74 sen earlier this morning, before paring some gains to trade at 72 sen, still up 9.5 sen or 15.2%, for a market capitalisation of RM160.45 million.

Yesterday, its managing director and group chief executive officer Eddie Ng Chew Siong said the group expects revenue to be driven more by transactions in the future, and that the cashless payments provider is also in talks with a few foreign banks to come on board as new partners.

Interestingly, according to Bloomberg data yesterday, Revenue saw a total of 9.45 million shares or 4.24% of its shares traded off-market in six direct business transactions on its maiden trading day.

The transactions are all carried out at 47 sen apiece, representing a 15.5 sen or 24.8% discount to its closing price of 62.5 sen yesterday. It is unknown at the time of writing who had carried out the transactions.
