SINGAPORE (Oct 10): There have been odd signs that inflation risks are rising in emerging Asia, according to Frederic Neumann, co-head of Asian economics research for HSBC.

In September, regional manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) showed a spike in input and output prices, the second such spike in three months.

This may be easily shrugged off as commodity-driven on the input side, but not as easily arguable on the output side.
