<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Ranhill said the claimant, Wahtoting Holding Ltd, was appointed by RWTC to source for a party to acquire the interest in RWHK and for the said party to form strategic partnership with RWTC.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>It said the agreement was conditional upon key performance indicators (KPI) being met by the claimant.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"However, the KPI were completely not met by the claimant.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"As such, we are of the opinion that the claimant has no merit and that the claim is frivolous and baseless.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"RWTC will engage a legal firm practising in China to represent itself against the claim," said Ranhill.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Trading in Ranhill shares was halted at 11.19am this morning and will resume at 2.30pm today.</p></div>
