<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Zainal, 55, takes over from Azlan Shah Rozali, who has resigned from the position due to the group's internal re-organisation, the group said in a filing today.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Zainal joined Puncak Niaga in August 2015 and had been appointed as the managing director of Murni Estate Sdn Bhd on Nov 9, 2015 to lead the plantation and agro business.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Prior to this, Zainal was the group chief executive officer of KUB Malaysia Bhd.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He holds a Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness) honours and diploma in Agriculture Sciences from University Putra Malaysia.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Azlan had been acting managing director of the company from Aug 3, 2016 to July 17, 2018, and has subsequently been appointed as alternate director effective today. He is the eldest son of Tan Sri Rozali Ismail, executive chairman and major shareholder of Puncak Niaga.</p></div>
