KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) is expecting about 150,000 visitors for its annual flagship unit trust exhibition, Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2018 (MSAM 2018), which will be held at the Stadium Batu Pahat, Johor from April 19 to 25.

“The MSAM 2018 is our flagship event for promoting our products further and inculcating smart investing habits among Malaysians,” said PNB group chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar at the prelaunch event yesterday.

To date, the annual exhibition has attracted over 3.6 million visitors since the first one held in 2000.

Abdul Wahid said the exhibition this year will be slightly different from the previous ones as it will incorporate various digital elements including the use of a digital app, which visitors can use to obtain more information on programmes and events lined up.

Abdul Wahid said PNB will also be launching a newer version of its myASNB portal at the event, which allows unitholders to check and update their accounts.

Its strategic partners for 2018 include Malayan Banking Bhd, S P Setia Bhd, CCM Duopharma Biotech Bhd, UMW Holdings Bhd and Sime Darby Bhd.

“At the same time, the exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to understand unit trust investments more clearly, particularly on risk-related returns.

“They can also gain insights into how returns obtained through investments in PNB group of companies are redistributed to unitholders in the form of income distribution,” said Abdul Wahid.
