KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 2): Plenitude Bhd’s three-storey Gurney Walk in Gurney Drive, Penang, has more than 30% of its 60,000 sq ft net lettable area taken up to date and is set to open its doors in the third quarter of 2021.

“We have received positive responses from prospective tenants, who are confident of the immense potential presented by Gurney Walk. The retail space in Gurney Walk has been carefully curated to ensure a fresh and interesting trade mix. Tenants can therefore be assured of a space that brings synergy for their business,” said group CEO Tan Seng Chye in a press release today.

“We are inviting potential tenants from wide-ranging backgrounds to be part of Gurney Walk. However, the process will be selective, so as to ensure quality with the type of trades and concepts that have been put together for Gurney Walk,” he added.

Gurney Walk will feature a sea-facing design complemented by a colourful glass façade and a minimalist interior. The ground floor will comprise a wide range of food and beverage outlets, convenience stores and a specialty wine and cheese mart. The first and second floors will have a diverse collection of specialty stores, boutiques and salons, a home furnishing store, a cooking school and a children’s edutainment centre, as well as spa treatment centres.

Apart from that, Gurney Walk will also feature art exhibitions and workshops, amid other planned offerings and community-centric events.

Gurney Walk, which is situated in the heart of Gurney Drive, serves as a pit stop between Penang International Airport and the famous Batu Ferringhi beach, and is near affluent suburbs of Pulau Tikus and Tanjung Bungah.

It will also be connected to the Ascott Gurney Penang, which is currently undergoing renovation and refurbishment, and is also slated to open in the third quarter of 2021.
