KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 31): Pintaras Jaya Bhd's unit has been awarded three new piling contracts worth a combined RM103 million.

In an exchange filing today, the group said the contracts — awarded to its wholly-owned Singapore-based subsidiary Pintary International Pte Ltd — have varying contract periods, ranging from three to eight months.

The contracts have commenced this month or will commence in January, and are expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings, the piling and foundation specialist said.

Shares in Pintaras Jaya closed 5 sen or 2.19% lower today at RM2.23, with a market capitalisation of RM369.88 million as at its last close. The counter has lost about 35% of its value this year.
