Penang Temple of Fine Arts to conduct free medical consultation

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): The Penang Temple of Fine Arts is conducting a free medical specialist consultation and treatment clinic on Thursday, Jan 8 from 7.30pm to 9pm.

In a statement Jan 6, it said the location was at No. 11, River Road, Penang (next to River Road Tamil School).

It said the doctors in attendance would be Dr.Tan Boon Ceong (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr.Sham Kumar (Pain Therapist Physician), Prof.Dr.Krishnan Rajam (General Practitioner) and  Dr.Parveen Thanabalen (Dental  surgeon).

The Temple of Fine Arts said the doctor in attendance would also prepare medical report and referral letter for patients (chronic cases) to enable further treatment at the Penang General Hospital.             

“This free clinic was set up with the sole purpose of providing free medical aid to all Malaysian irrespective of racial or economic background.

“All medical facilities and medicines were bought through donations and the doctors who serve in this clinic are all volunteers,” it said.
