KUALA LUMPUR (June 24): Optimax Holdings Bhd said it will be collaborating with the Ministry of Federal Territories for the MYMEDIC@WILAYAH mobile vaccination programme.

In a filing with the bourse, the group said the programme aims to vaccinate the residents of People’s Housing Projects (PPR) and public housing as well as workers of essential services companies in designated areas of the Federal Territories.

Optimax said it will also be participating in another pilot project initiated by ProtectHealth Corp Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry for the Public-Private Partnership Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to complement the government’s National Covid-19 Immunisation programme (PIKAS).

“The company is expected to receive a nominal fee of RM45 to RM50 per dose per person to help defray its costs to mobilise its resources under the mobile vaccination program and PIKAS. All vaccines are sourced from and supplied directly by the Government,” it said.

Optimax's share price fell one sen or 0.7% to close at RM1.44, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM388.8 million.
