KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 10): Omesti Bhd announced today that it will continue its partnership with global digital court recording systems provider Justice AV Solutions (JAVS), which form an integral component of its eCOURTS platform.

"This partnership will continue to make custom, scalable audio and video (A/V) solutions available to courtrooms, meeting rooms, and lecture halls desiring to capture a complete, verbatim record of proceedings," said the company in a bourse filing.

Commenting on this, its executive director Mah Xian-Zhen said the company is delighted to be confirmed as the exclusive JAVS distributor for Southeast Asia.

"We first tied up with this industry leader back in 2009, when we deployed the initial eCOURTS system for the Kuala Lumpur Court," said Mah.

The company has since then implemented the solution in nearly 400 courtrooms across Malaysia.

"We are also encouraged by the positive interest received from around the region, where we hope to achieve further successes," she added.

As a JAVS authorised dealer, Omesti, through its subsidiary Formis Research & Development Sdn Bhd (FRDEV), will offer JAVS Premier, Select, and Core Lines to clients in Asia.

Omesti has been granted exclusive distribution rights to 10 countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, East Timor, and Sri Lanka.

"We value each of our partnerships, and this one is no exception," said JAVS president and chief executive officer Andrew Green in the statement.

"Omesti has proven to be a great partner in our efforts in Asia, bringing JAVS solutions to hundreds of Southeast Asian courts. We look forward to continuing our work together," said Andrew Green.

Omesti was not traded today. It was last closed at 46 sen yesterday (Jan 9), for a market value of RM195.77 million.
