Eco World Development Group Bhd officially handed over the keys of Simfoni Apartments to buyers in a ceremony on Jan 6. Minister of Economic Affairs Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali was the guest of honour.

Simfoni Apartments is an affordable housing project under the Selangor government’s Rumah SelangorKu initiative in Eco Majestic, Semenyih.

Chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin said in a statement that the group is extremely proud to be part of the state government’s initiative in striving for affordable housing for the people.

“At EcoWorld, community building is integral to our business and we strive to live up to our mission of being a caring and responsible organisation that actively gives back to society,” he said.

The project comprises three blocks with 870 units that come with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The units, with built-ups of 750 sq ft, are priced at RM100,000.

The development was launched in September 2015 by Azmin, the then Selangor menteri besar.

Although Simfoni Apartments falls under the affordable housing segment, its residents will still be able to enjoy the various amenities planned for the Eco Majestic township.

“We have always placed a high importance on our products and service quality, and there are no exceptions for our affordable housing schemes. We have ensured that Simfoni Apartments also carries the EcoWorld DNA, with its clean white façade, entrance statement, 24-hour manned guardhouse and linear parks,” said president and CEO Datuk Chang Khim Wah.

Apart from Simfoni Apartments, the developer has two other affordable housing projects in the township — Karisma and Harmoni Apartments.

Karisma Apartments, which comprises two blocks with 750 units, has been handed over to the buyers.

Harmoni Apartments comprises two blocks with 900 units. The developer targets to hand over the keys in the first quarter of this year.

The apartment blocks have architectural themes that mirror the overall colonial straits-era style adopted throughout the township. Facilities such as playgrounds, multipurpose courts, function halls and car parks are provided.

The 1,089-acre Eco Majestic, with a gross development value of RM11 billion, was launched in May 2014 and is EcoWorld’s flagship township in the Klang Valley. It is easily accessible through its East Gate via Jalan Semenyih, its North Gate via the Red Carpet Bridge and its West Gate via the Kajang-Seremban Expressway.

Public amenities such as hypermarkets and retail malls, education institutions, healthcare and sporting facilities, and recreational parks are available in the vicinity.

So far, four residential precincts with a total of 1,967 units and two phases of shopoffices with a total of 148 units have been completed and handed over.
