KUALA LUMPUR (June 8): Nova MSC Bhd has secured a 20-month contract from Singapore’s Public Utilities Board to provide building information modelling services worth S$5.17 million or RM15.4 million.

The group said the contract was awarded to its wholly-owned unit, novaCITYNETS Pte Ltd.

“Under the contract, novaCITYNETS shall supply, deliver and implement a building information modelling checking systems for building plan submission over about 20 months and thereafter maintain the project for the next 20 months,” Nova MSC said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The group said the contract will contribute positively to its overall results for the financial year ending March 31, 2019.

Nova MSC provides application software to the government and healthcare firms.

The stock, listed on the ACE Market, was the third most actively traded today, with a volume of 97.69 million shares, equivalent to 14.3% of its share capital.

It closed two sen or 19.05% higher at 12.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM85.41 million.
