KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 12): S P Setia Bhd’s acting president and chief executive officer Datuk Voon Tin Yow has exercised his share options granted under the property giant’s employee share option scheme (ESOS), and acquired 4.8 million shares.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, S P Setia said Voon now holds 4.94 million shares directly in his name, translating to 0.19% of the group’s share base.

Formerly S P Setia’s chief operating officer, Voon was deemed the immediate successor to the group’s former president and CEO Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, who left the group on April 30.

Liew is now a non-executive director of Eco World Development Group Bhd.

Voon was appointed as the acting chief for a one-year period, beginning May 01 this year.
