KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 1): Datuk Noordin Sulaiman has been appointed the independent and non-executive chairman of M-Mode Bhd.

Noordin, 61, was previously the State Treasury Officer for Selangor from 2012 to 2017 and has served in various Government Ministries for 36 years.

He was also appointed to the nomination committee of M-Mode.

He has a masters degree in environment from Universiti Putra Malaysia, the group said in a stock exchange filing today.

Separately, the board appointed Wong Wen Miin as an independent and non-executive director.

She had previously held the position of deputy director general for special projects in the public private partnership unit of the Prime Minister’s Department before her retirement in June this year.

Wong, 61, is also a director of Kim Tech Cheong Consolidated Bhd.

Shares in M-Mode gained 0.5 sen to close up 2.08% at 24.5 sen, giving the group a market value of RM39.86 million.
