KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Group Malaysia (BMW Malaysia) has launched two new variants of the BMW 4 Series Coupé, together with the new BMW M4 Coupé, a midsize high-performance sports coupé.

“The BMW 4 Series introduced a new era in the history of BMW and the sports coupé has already created another successful example of our strengths and capabilities in creating dynamic two-door sports cars which move car enthusiasts emotionally all over the world,” said BMW Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Han Sang Yun in a statement yesterday.

“With the new advancements introduced in the new models, we believe that the new BMW 4 Series Coupé will continue to exceed expectations as a sophisticated and dynamic coupé, while the new BMW M4 Coupé will prove that it is a multiple championship winner not only on the Touring Car Circuit but on the streets and in the hearts of premium motor sport fans here,” said Han.

The two new variants of the BMW 4 Series Coupé are BMW 420i Coupé Sport and BMW 430i Coupé M Sport.

“Preserving its characteristics of power, sportiness and elegance, which is synonymous with the BMW 4 Series since its 2014 debut, the new BMW 4 Series Coupé emerges more dynamically and more prominently with a newly designed front and rear section,” it said.

Among some of the sweet upgrades in the new variants are an enhanced suspension system — made stiffer for better dynamism while adapting damper settings to retain ride comfort — said BMW Malaysia.

As for the new BMW M4 Coupé, which BMW Malaysia calls an uncompromising high performer, it comes with an edgier appearance, an upgraded interior, extended functions and the latest technology.

BMW Malaysia said the new introductions will be displayed during Raya@BMW, held at all BMW dealerships from July 6 to 21. They will also be presented at the Revolution by Time Kulture that runs from July 6 to 16 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

The retail price of the BMW 420i Coupé Sport is RM338,800 (on the road, without insurance), and for its sister BMW 430i Coupé M Sport, it’s RM408,800. The new BMW M4 Coupé is priced at RM760,800.
