KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 1): Nationwide Express Holdings Bhd has appointed Mohd Khairi Abdul Aziz as its group chief executive officer (CEO) effective immediately.

The position was left vacant following the contract termination of Rozilawati Basir, 47, as managing director on May 30, 2018 — a position she held since April 2, 2014, before she was redesignated as non-independent non-executive director.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Nationwide Express said Mohd Khairi, 53, has served at C-level positions as CEO and chief financial officer in various private and public limited companies for more than 10 years, in areas including corporate finance, cost management, human capital and resources management, financial and treasury management, and operations management.

He also has vast experience in the logistics industry, having served Integrated Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd and NST Logistics Sdn Bhd.

Nationwide Express shares closed unchanged at 36.5 sen today, bringing a market capitalisation of RM43.89 million.
