KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 20): MyEG Services Bhd executive chairman Datuk Norraesah Haji Mohamad has emerged as a substantial shareholder of the company, after having acquired a 29.67% indirect interest. 

In a statement today, MyEG said Norraesah acquired the stake from its executive director Datuk Raja Munir Shah Raja Mustapha via Asia Internet Holdings Sdn Bhd. 

“As such, Datuk Raja Munir Shah Raja Mustapha has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of MyEG,” the statement said, adding Munir will remain as executive director of the company.

Raja Munir Shah was the second single largest shareholder in the company, prior to the cessation of his interest in Asia Internet Holdings. With the disposal, he is now left with a 0.708% stake.

Norraesah is a former senator, having served from Feb 2008 to Oct 2015. Prior to that, she was the chairman of Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia.

At 5pm, MyEG closed 0.49% or 1 sen higher at RM2.03, with 10.1 million shares traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM7.32 billion.
