KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): Shares in My EG Services Bhd rose to its all time high of RM1.67 in the early trades today, after bagging a lucrative deal to renew foreign worker passes until 2020.

At 9.53am, the stock pared part of its gains to trade at RM1.65, up six sen or 3.77%. The current price was still a historical high for the counter.

A total of 12.9 million shares exchanged hands between RM1.63 and RM1.67, making it the sixth most actively-traded stock and also one of the top gainers on the local exchange.

The e-government services provider told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that it has secured a RM553.85 million contract to provide online renewal of temporary employment passes for foreign workers, for the Immigration Department.

According to the firm, the project is for a period of five years, commencing May 23, 2015 to May 22, 2020.

“An agreement to formalise the acceptance of the project will be signed and announced by the company in due course,” it added.
