KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Mlabs Systems Bhd’s joint venture has secured a contract worth US$10 million for computer generated imagery production work, over a production period of one year.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia this afternoon, Mlabs said further to the investment and shareheolders’ agreement between its unit Multimedia Research Lab Sdn Bhd and China-based Red Dragon Media Ltd (RDM), the company had accepted a letter of award from RDM to act as the main contractor for the project.

It said the contract will be transferred to the joint venture company, tentatively named Gold Dragon Media Sdn Bhd or any name to be identified at a later stage (JVC), as soon as the JVC becomes operational.

At midday break today, Mlabs fell 1.92% or 0.5 sen to 25.5 sen, with 36.69 million shares done.
