MK Land Holdings Bhd (-ve)

SHARES in MK Land Holdings Bhd (fundamental: 1.25/3, valuation: 1.7/3) triggered our proprietary momentum algorithm for the first time this year. The stock closed 1.5 sen or 6.25% higher to 25.5 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM307.17 million. A total of 2.99 million shares were traded, significantly higher than the counter’s 200-day average volume of 560,134 shares.

MK Land posted a slight increase in net profit for its third quarter ended March 31, 2018 to RM4.638 million from RM4.01 million a year ago. Revenue soared 47.6% year-on-year to RM35.14 million from RM23.81 million on the back of a robust contribution from the property development segment, which generated 82.2% or RM28.9 million of the total.

Going forward, the group remains cautious about new launches and expects its financial year ending June 30, 2018 to be challenging.

At current prices, MK Land is trading at 0.16 times its book value.
