TAMPIN (July 13): The 2018 Fire Training Exercise (LKT) costing RM17 million is not a waste of funds but would help test the capabilities of members of the military in handling their assets, said Army Chief General Tan Sri Zulkiple Kassim.
He said although the cost of conducting the LKT 2018 was huge, it was necessary so that the military personnel could showcase their real capabilities.
"We have to look at it positively, at the benefits to the military and the effects on the personnel," he told reporters after attending LKT2018 at the Syed Sirajuddin Camp in Gemas here Thursday.
Also present was Army deputy chief Lieutenant General Datuk Seri Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi.
Zulkiple said LKT 2018 was an opportunity for the army to observe the usefulness of an asset and its application in warfare tactical strategies. - Bernama
