KUALA LUMPUR: Merge Energy Bhd has bagged a RM105.55 million contract to build a water treatment plant and water pipes under Package 1 in Pagoh, Johor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Merge Energy said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mewah Kota Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of acceptance from Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd for the proposed project.

The contract is for 18 months, with completion on Aug 25, 2019. “The contract is expected to contribute positively to the Merge Energy group’s earnings for the current and future financial years,” it added.

Merge Energy shares closed half a sen or 1.56% lower at 31.5 sen yesterday, with a market capitalisation of RM21.1 million.
