KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 21): Merge Energy Bhd has bagged a RM105.55 million contract to develop a water treatment plant and water pipes under Package 1 in Pagoh, Johor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Merge Energy said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mewah Kota Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of acceptance from Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) for the proposed project.

The contract is for a period of 18 months, with completion on Aug 25, 2019.

"The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Merge Energy Group for the current and future financial years," Merge Energy added.

Merge Energy shares closed half a sen or 1.56% lower at 31.5 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM21.1 million.
