KUALA LUMPUR (March 13): Mercury Industries Bhd said its 70%-owned unit Paramount Bounty Sdn Bhd has been awarded a contract worth RM25.01 million entailing construction works in Gombak, Selangor.

In a filing today, Mercury said the six-month contract, awarded by Aturan Prisma Sdn Bhd, involves site clearance, earthworks, retaining wall and soil improvement works.

“The construction works are expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings of Mercury group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2018,” Mercury added.

The company said none of its directors, major shareholders or persons connected with them has any direct or indirect interests in the award.

Mercury’s shares were untraded today. The counter was last traded at RM1.52, translating into a market capitalisation of RM61.08 million.
