KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Naza Kia Malaysia, which distributes KIA vehicles in Malaysia, has appointed MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd (MBf) as a dealer, as Naza Kia grows its dealer network in the country.

In a statement today, Naza Kia said the new dealer is set to put in RM6.5 million investments for two Kia outlets.

Of that, RM5 million will be spent on setting up its first Kia concept store in Malaysia — the 3S Kia City Concept Store Experiential Showroom — at Menara MBf at Jalan Sultan Ismail by mid-2019, with an investment of RM5 million.

The remainder RM1.5 million will be used to revamp an existing Kia outlet at Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, into another concept store. This concept store will begin operations in the third quarter of 2018.

Naza Corp Holdings' automotive group CEO, Datuk Samson Anand George, said the group is grateful for the support from its dealers over the last few decades.

“This dealership reassures us of Kia’s growing presence in Malaysia and the confidence that dealers such as MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd place on us.

“This year, we plan to continue intensifying investments to further grow our network with five new outlets nationwide and expand customer touchpoints to ensure an extraordinary experience throughout the consumer journey,” George said.

A signing ceremony was held at the MAI Autoshow today to mark the appointment of MBf into their dealer network with Samson representing Naza Kia, while MBf Automobile's group general manager Daniel Choo represented the latter.

Naza Kia Malaysia currently boasts 51 sales and service centres in the country.
