KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): Malaysia's industrial production in April likely expanded at a slightly faster annual pace than in March, a Reuters poll showed.
The median forecast from a survey of 11 economists was for April's factory output to rise 4.8% from a year earlier. Individual estimates, however, ranged between a 4.0% to 7.2% increase.
Factory output had expanded 4.6% year-on-year in March, supported by strength in the manufacturing and mining sectors.
Malaysia's exports had surged again in April, rising 20.6% from a year earlier, on higher shipments of manufactured goods and commodities.
