KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): Macquarie Capital Securities (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is eyeing to list another tranche of up to 10 structured warrants on Bursa Malaysia by the end of this year.

The structured warrants will be a mix of structured warrants on listed firms and index warrants.

Macquarie Securities Group head of derivatives for Southeast Asia Barnaby Matthews said it is also planning to list more index warrants in 2015.

"Investing on index warrants allows retail investors to take a view on other exchanges," he told a media briefing this morning.

While investors have general views on different indices in other countries, Barnaby said it could be hard for retail investors to acquire individual company stocks as they might be deemed more risky.

To date, the group has listed 43 structured warrants on the local exchange. Of these, 15 are index warrants and the remaining 28 are single stock on listed companies.
