KUALA LUMPUR (June 18): Lee Hui-Ta has taken over as Dufu Technology Corp. Bhd’s new executive chairman as previous executive chairman Hsu Chin-Shui enters retirement.

Lee, a graduate in mechanical engineering and business administration, began his career as an engineering supervisor in Taiwan in 1981, where he was promoted to managing director in 1983. In 1984, he co-set up Lee Bai Corp. Ltd in Taiwan.

Lee co-founded Dufu together with Hsu in 1990, and was officially appointed into the group’s board in 2006. He also serves as an executive director and chief financial officer.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Dufu also pointed out that the 56-year-old Lee is primarily responsible for the group’s financial management, and brings with him over 20 years of experience in the precision tooling and machining industry.

He also sits on the board of several other private limited companies.
