KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 2): Lambo Group Bhd (formerly Accsoft Technology Bhd) announced today that its independent and non–executive chairman Khairul Azwan Harun, 43, has resigned from his post due to other commitments.

According to a bourse filing today, the retail solutions provider said Khairul's resignation took effect on Jan 1. He was appointed to the post on Sept 26, 2017, according to the group's Annual Report 2017.

Khairul started his career in Ernst and Young in 1999, where he focused on auditing and corporate recovery, before joining the Perak State Government in 2004. In 2010, he was appointed the CEO of Yayasan Bina Upaya Darul Ridzuan, a State charity foundation.

Currently, besides being an adjunct Lecturer of Management and Leadership at Universiti Technology Petronas, Khairul is also chairman at the Chulia Group of Companies.

With his resignation, Khairul is no longer chairman of the group’s remuneration and nomination committees; he is also not a member of the audit committee anymore.

Lambo's shares closed unchanged at 12 sen apiece today, for a market capitalisation of RM250.76 million. In the past one year, the stock has retreated over 50%.
