<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a report by the <em>Malay Mail Online</em>, Cheras MP Tan Kok Wai said DBKL’s planning department’s director Sulaiman Mohamed clarified that the old plans were not gazetted, but neither were they cancelled.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Parts of the KL City Plan 2020 and the KL Structure Plan 2020 will be used to “fine-tune and improve” the updated city plan, said Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The KL City Plan 2020 was launched in 2008 and produced at a cost of RM30 million.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>It was originally meant to be gazetted in 2012 but this was postponed to Feb 28, 2013, following objections over land usage.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In March, KL mayor Tan Sri Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz said it was pointless to gazette a plan that would expire in three years.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Moreover, the plan is not feasible, given land prices have escalated significantly from when it was launched until now.</p></div>
