KUALA LUMPUR (April 17): Khazanah Nasional Bhd said executive director in the managing director's office Datuk Charon Mokhzani, who is also Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) managing director, will leave Khazanah and KRI in mid-May 2018, after serving for nearly five years.

In a statement today, the Malaysian Government-owned investment arm also announced that it had promoted Amran Hafiz Affifudin and Bryan Lim to executive directors, investments, with effect from April 1, 2018. Prior to the promotion, Amran and Lim were investment directors at Khazanah.

"The new appointments and changes are part of Khazanah's periodic refresh and strengthening of the senior management team, in line with its ongoing leadership succession initiative. In December 2017, Khazanah announced the appointment of Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn and Tengku Datuk Seri Azmil Zahruddin Raja Abdul Aziz as deputy managing directors.

"The new appointments and changes to the SLT (senior leadership team) [supplement] Khazanah's ongoing institutionalisation efforts, which are a key focus for the organisation," Khazanah said.
