KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): An application by 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and the government for a judgment in default on the sale of the Equanimity superyacht will be decided by the High Court here tomorrow, reported MalaysiaKini.

Lawyer Sitpah Selvaratnam, who is part of the 1MDB legal team appointed by the Attorney-General's Chambers, told reporters today that the hearing of the application before Judicial Commissioner Khadijah Idris had been adjourned to Friday (Oct 19).

"(The hearing) will be continued tomorrow. Come to see us tomorrow at 3pm," Sitpah said in the report.

According to MalaysiaKini, the plaintiffs are seeking a judgment in default to allow Equanimity to be sold in the absence of its registered owner Equanimity (Cayman) Ltd.

On Aug 24, the High Court granted the request of 1MDB and the government for the superyacht to be sold, with courts to decide who will keep the proceeds.
