<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The 47-year-old has been in and out of the company under different capacities since 1999, a filing with Bursa Malaysia showed today.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He was then made the CEO on Aug 7 and managing director on Aug 24 but retired from that latter post on Sept 19.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>However, he continued as the CEO before being terminated by the board effective today.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Penang-based Ire-Tex has been in the spotlight since April 2017 due to a boardroom tussle between the largest shareholder Elite Cosmo Group Ltd and the company’s directors.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Its shares were not traded today. The counter closed at 14 sen yesterday, for a market capitalisation of RM20.03 million.</p></div>

<p>Malaysia’s consumer inflation came in lower than expected in March from a year earlier as prices of healthcare and food rose at a slower pace, official data on Thursday showed.</p>
