KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 30): Ikhmas Jaya Group Bhd has bagged two contracts worth RM38.5 million to undertake subcontract bored piling works for the light rail transit line 3 (LRT3) project from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia portion.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Ikhmas Jaya said its wholly-owned subsidiary Ikhmas Jaya Sdn Bhd has accepted the letters of award from Mudajaya Corp Bhd to undertake subcontract bored piling works in Zone 2 and 3 for Package GS01 under the LRT3 project.

The contracts include works for guideway, stations, 'park and ride', ancillary buildings and other associated works for the project delivery partner MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd, added Ikhmas Jaya.

Works on Zone 2 commences from Feb 15 till Dec 31, 2018 at a value of RM18.99 million, while works on Zone 3 is from Jan 29, 2018 till Jan 3, 2019 and has a contract value of RM19.53 million.

Ikhmas Jaya said the contracts will contribute to its books for its financial year ending Dec 31, 2018.

The counter closed half a sen or 0.93% higher at 54.5 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM289.04 million.
