(Sept 14): DAP lawmaker Tony Pua maintained that he does not know former PetroSaudi International executive Xavier Andre Justo, after he was again called up by police today to facilitate investigation into an alleged attempt to topple the government.

The Petaling Jaya MP, after being questioned for more than one hour in Bukit Aman, said: "I don't know Justo and never heard of Justo and I don't know what happened between Claire (Rewcastle-Brown, Sarawak Report editor), Justo and (Datuk) Tong (Kooi Ong, The Edge Media Group chairman). It is not related to me."

Pua, together with his lawyer Gobind Singh Deo, arrived at the federal police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur at 3.30pm.

He was being investigated under the Section 124(b) of the Penal Code for activity detrimental to parliamentary democracy and Section 124(j) of the Penal Code for receipt of document and publication detrimental to parliamentary democracy.

"They asked whether I know Ho Kay Tat (The Edge Media Group publisher and Group CEO) and Tong and whether I received the any document from them that was said came from Justo, to which I said no," he added.

Earlier, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said PKR lawmaker Nurul Izzah Anwar would be the next person to be called after Pua over the same issue.

Justo is currently serving out his three-year sentence in a Thai prison for blackmailing his former employer with information on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Local dailies The New Straits Times and Berita Harian last week implicated the three and also PKR lawmaker Nurul Izzah for having had communications with Justo, based on his written admission. – The Malaysian Insider
