PETALING JAYA (Jan 11): Horizon Village Outlets (HVO) has secured 22 tenants so far — with the latest being Swarovski under specialist retailer Valiram Group — as well as eight others, namely Skechers, Lancaster, Cosas United, Focus Point, Multi.tude, AMEX Timepiece, Milano Eyes Fashion and Subway, the group announced in a press release.

The new brands join other brands by the Valiram Group which have been secured previously, which include Giuseppe Zanotti, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Kate Spade New York, La Martina, Tumi, Pedro, Swiss Watch Gallery, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Charles & Keith, Flow and Godiva.

HVO is a joint-venture project by Horizon Group Properties — the US’ third largest operator and developer of outlet shopping malls — and Malaysia-based construction and property developer group, Mainstay Properties.

It sits on 22 acres and over 400,000 sq ft of nett lettable area (NLA) in Sepang. It is set to open this year.

“Horizon Village Outlets has been designed to promote retailers’ success. The location is spot on, being located near airports and within new townships such as Sunsuria City and Serenia City.

“Most uniquely, we have our very own Artisan Village — a celebration of the ‘essence’ of Malaysia to preserve the rich traditional culture. Last but not least, the brands that shoppers covet, there is definitely something for everyone,” said HVO CEO David Nelson in the statement.

HVO will also be home to more than 150 retail brands and food and beverage outlets. The outlet will bank on the population catchment of nearly eight million within a 50-minute drive encompassing the Klang Valley.

It is also located in proximity to Xiamen University that has a student population of 10,000.

HVO is also linked to the Klang Valley Integrated Rail Transit System where various lines connect to the KL Sentral hub.

Visitors can hop onto the Express Rail Link from KL Sentral to Salak Tinggi station (where HVO is located) with a 20-minute ride.

The Putrajaya ERL station is also just an eight-minute train ride to the Salak Tinggi station.
