KUALA LUMPUR (NOV 19): Furniture-maker Heveaboard Bhd has redesignated non-executive director Sundra Moorthi VM Krishnasamy as its new non-executive chairman, effective today.

The group announced the redesignation of the 74-year-old in a stock exchange filing today, following the demise of its former chairman Tan Sri Chan Choong Tack @ Chan Choong Tak that was announced in September.

With Swee Chew's resignation, his son, Singaporean Loo Chin Meng, 40, ceased to be his alternate director and was appointed as a non-independent and non-executive director in his stead. Chin Meng has a 0.833% stake in Heveaboard.

Heveaboard’s share prices did not change at RM0.825 per share. The group’s market capitalisation is RM461.29 million.
