KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 22): HeiTech Padu Bhd, whose share price today closed at its highest level in more than six years, says it has secured a Ministry of Health (MoH) contract worth RM33.18 million.

In an exchange filing after market close, HeiTech Padu said the contract is for the supply, installation and commissioning of the Critical Care Information System (CCIS) in intensive care units of 11 hospitals for a period of three years.

The contract, which will commence on Feb 1, 2019, is expected to have positive impacts on its future earnings, the group said.

The contract will have no material effect to its net asset, dividend policy, share capital and substantial shareholdings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019, it added.

HeiTech Padu’s share price closed nine sen or 9.9% higher today at 94 sen, its highest level since Sept 28, 2012. Some 14.32 million shares were traded, a big jump over its 200-day average trading volume of 53,634 shares.

The counter has risen 116% in a week — from its closing price of 43.5 sen on Jan 15 — giving the ICT system and infrastructure developer a market capitalisation of RM95.66 million.
