KUALA LUMPUR: HeiTech Padu Bhd, whose share price yesterday closed at its highest level in more than six years, has secured a ministry of health (MoH) contract worth RM33.18 million.

HeiTech Padu said the contract is for the supply, installation and commissioning of the Critical Care Information System in intensive care units of 11 hospitals for a period of three years.

The contract, which will commence on Feb 1, 2019, is expected to have a positive impact on its future earnings, the group said in a stock exchange filing after market close yesterday.

The contract will have no material effect on its net asset, dividend policy, share capital and substantial shareholdings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019, it added.

HeiTech Padu’s share price closed 8.5 sen or 9.88% up yesterday at 94.5 sen, its highest level since Sept 28, 2012. Some 14.32 million shares were traded, a big jump over the counter’s 200-day average trading volume of 53,634 shares.
