KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 10): HCK Capital Group Bhd said it is unaware of any reason for the spike in its share price today except for a couple of updates on corporate exercises.
Shares of the property, media and education group rose 26 sen or 26.3% to an all-time high close of RM1.25, although trading volume was thin at 622,600.
Bursa Malaysia had earlier in the day issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to HCK after the share price hit limit up.
The corporate updates HCK mentioned in its reply to the UMA query included the completion on Aug 7 of the subdivision of every one share into five shares.
Another update concerned the group's renounceable rights issue of 210.59 million warrants. HCK said yesterday that it had fixed the issue price of the warrants at 5 sen each and the exercise price of the warrants at 96 sen per warrant.
