PETALING JAYA (Nov 1): Following submission of MPs asset declaration forms, MACC has published details of the incomes of Pakatan Harapan and Parti Warisan Sabah lawmakers on its website.

Malaysiakini reports that the commission will need to resolve technical problems, and then update the information. The list displays the individuals’ monthly income, not their household income.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng is currently at the top of the list with an income of RM86,464.92. In second place is Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Saifuddin Nasution with RM77,629.68 and Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad with RM75,861.57.

At present, 77 Harapan MPs have yet to declare their assets, and Dr Mahathir’s son Mukhriz (Kedah mentri besar) is one of them.

The news portal reports that Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is ninth in the list, with a monthly income of RM59,048.33. Her declaration incorporates PKR president-elect Anwar Ibrahim, her husband as well, though Nurul Izzah’s is not on the list at present.

Taking into account the past cabinet salary figures, with the 10% pay cut that was announced in the past, Dr Mahathir earns an estimated monthly salary of RM20,543.99.

As at 3pm today, the website displays details for 51 individuals.

The news portal reports that cabinet members who were not on the list are: Azmin Ali (Economic Affairs), Maszlee Malik (Education), Rina Harun (Rural and Regional Development), M Kulasegaran (Human Resources), Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (Health), Salahuddin Ayub (Agriculture), Khalid Samad (Federal Territories), Yeo Bee Yin (Environment), Darrell Leiking (International Trade), Baru Bian (Works) and Redzuan Md Yusof (Entrepreneur Development).

Deputy ministers not on the list are: Azis Jamman (Home), Teo Nie Ching (Education) Liew Chin Tong (Defence), Sivarasa Rasiah (Rural and Regional Development), Kamarudin Jaffar (Transport), Eddin Syazlee Shith (Communications), Sim Tze Tzin (Agriculture) Chong Chieng Jen (Domestic Trade), Hatta Ramli (Entrepreneur Development), and Anuar Tahir (Works).

Some who declared their assets to MACC have yet to be included in the list, say reports.

Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching was quoted as saying: “I don't know why (my name) was not there. I have asked my office to check.”

"It happened to many parliamentarians.”
