PUTRAJAYA (May 14): The Pakatan Harapan (PH) government has yet to make a request to the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) for the arrest of Low Taek Jho (Jho Low), Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.

"We have not requested (Interpol), but we roughly know where he (Jho Low) is," he told a press conference today.

When asked how the government is going to bring Jho Low back to Malaysia, Dr Mahathir merely quipped "leave it to us, I don't go and catch people, there are agencies which are tasked to catch people".

On PH's promise to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the controversial state-owned strategic investment fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), Dr Mahathir said the government has to formulate a concrete charge against those involved first.

"We can't go into the (setting up of a) Royal Commission until we have some concrete charges against them, and then we can prefer to set up a Royal Commission to look into many of the different aspects of 1MDB," he said
